A panel discussion about the challenges, accomplishments and emerging projects involving women in (sketch) comedy, with representatives from various comedy communities in North America.

Moderator: Sarah Deshaies
Sarah co-hosts the weekly theatre and culture show Upstage on CKUT. She is also a producer at CJAD News Talk Radio.
Chantale Renée
Chantale is a French improv veteran, voice-over artist, comedy producer, writer, and snail enthusiast. She continues to be a creative force in Toronto where she performs with new sketch duo Ding Dong.
Dawn Ford
Dawn Ford has been a professional actor in film and television and plays as well as voices several cartoons for the last 25 years. She Is an alumni of the Montreal Improv Conservatory and 6 months ago began her adventure into standup comedy.
Dave Sawyer
Dave Sawyer is a member of the Boston troupe Sawyer & Hurley and is Associate Producer of the Boston Women in Comedy Festival.
Kristen Bartlett
Kristen is a writer/performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. Kristen’s show The Dead Dads Club recently finished its run, and she also writes for sketch teams Bridge & Tunnel and UCB Maude night’s Goodbye Handsome. She’s a contributor to Funny or Die, Someecards, and Splitsider.
Sasha Manoli
Sasha is a local comedy producer, recently spear-heading The Brunch Club—an initiative that brings out-of-town comics to Montreal stages. She has worked for Just for Laughs and is currently the Content Manager at the Phi Centre.
Women in Comedy Montreal is a community-building enterprise made up of performers from various facets of comedy including sketch, stand-up, improv and storytelling. We create and support opportunities for women to perform in this city.
