KRISTEN BARTLETT is a New York City-based writer and performer.
She currently writes for Saturday Night Live, where she received an Emmy nomination for the show's forty-second season. Her comedy writing has appeared in Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Vulture, and many others.
Her show The Dead Dads Club performed to sold out audiences at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and at special engagements in Los Angeles and Montreal. The show, a darkly funny take on loss, was featured in Paste, Modern Loss, the Village Voice, and on The Best Show with Tom Scharpling.
Kristen appeared in Netflix Presents: The Characters with Natasha Rothwell, Adult Swim's We're Newbridge, and the second season of Hulu's Difficult People.
Kristen has also written for MTV, Splitsider, A Prairie Home Companion, Above Average, and the pilot Splunch, a 2017 New York Television Official Selection. Her pilots have received semi-finalist and quarter-finalist honors with The PAGE Awards, Tracking Board Launchpad, and Seriesfest.
Kristen has written for house sketch and digital teams at UCB and is a founding member of the sketch team Bridge & Tunnel, which performs monthly at the People's Improv Theater. Bridge & Tunnel was an official selection of New York City Sketchfest, Boston Comedy Arts Fest, and Montreal Sketchfest, where they won Best Newcomer and Audience Choice.
